As an R&D facility and incubator of technological innovation, every aspect of Orange Labs, from its architecture to its furniture, reflects the responsiveness and flexibility driving the company’s business and inspiring its employees. Custom designed and fabricated pieces for high function areas serve multiple purposes and support goals for cross-disciplinary interaction and operational efficiency.
A modular plywood desk system allows for a variety of configurations and fosters collaborative work. Conference tables, open worktables, hi-top café tables, and wheeled storage serve multiple purposes, depending on project team needs. The Think Tank, central to Orange’s operation, is defined by bookshelf walls that mechanically expand and contract, converting it from a state-of-the-art lecture hall, to large conference room, to secure brainstorming space. A circular conference table designed specifically for the space demounts into six pieces, easily moved and re-assembled as needed.
